Back in 1999 we went to see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0133093\/\">The Matrix<\/a> in Streatham. Today we had an adventure to celebrate.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/very_true_thing\/3662787035\/\" title=\"Robot Grasshopper by very_true_thing, on Flickr\" class=\"noIcon\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3380\/3662787035_2e75b061c0_m.jpg\" width=\"160\" height=\"240\" alt=\"Robot Grasshopper from the Robot Zoo\" style=\"float: right; margin: 0 0 1em 1em;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>First up was the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitlondon.com\/events\/detail\/4361221\">Robot Zoo<\/a> at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.horniman.ac.uk\/\">Horniman Museum<\/a>. Did you know that it took three people to drive a chameleon?<\/p>\n<p>Then we did a bit of shopping. Lettice bought <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beadshop.co.uk\/\">beads<\/a> and I bought <a href=\"http:\/\/www.madnorwegian.com\/product.php?item=AboutTime3-2nd\">Doctor Who books<\/a>.(<cite>About Time 3<\/cite> 2nd edition is 500 pages long and has an end note about the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chuckle_Brothers\">Chuckle Brothers<\/a>, how can you not want it?)<\/p>\n<p>If you missed James May&#8217;s plasticine garden at Chelsea you can now see it at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.southbankcentre.co.uk\/visual-arts\/productions\/paradise-in-plasticine-99f\">Royal Festival Hall<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Then we went on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitlondon.com\/attractions\/detail\/282783\">London Eye<\/a>. Yes, we live in London. Yes, we work in London tourism. Yes, it&#8217;s been open for nine years. No, we hadn&#8217;t been on it before.<\/p>\n<p>Then there was yarn shopping. Followed by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yosushi.com\/\">Yo! Sushi<\/a> (<small>between you and me, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitlondon.com\/attractions\/detail\/2405\">County Hall branch<\/a> is always nice and quiet in the evenings and only a short walk from the heaving, 45 minute wait to be seated, restaurants along the Southbank<\/small>).<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I&#8217;ll do a proper image post either tomorrow or on Monday, in the meantime there are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/very_true_thing\/sets\/72157620603700070\/\">pictures on Flickr<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today was the 10th anniversary of my first date with Lettice.
