Spoilers ahoy &#8216;cos here are the treknical ones&#8230;<\/p>\n<div class=\"gallery\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.stevepugh.net\/VTT\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/enterprise.jpg\" alt=\"USS Enterprise\" width=\"500\" height=\"212\"  \/><\/div>\n<p>Hands up who thinks that this ship looks like it should be an intermediate stage between the <a href=\"http:\/\/steve.pugh.net\/fleet\/constitution.html#enterprise\">movie-era Enterprise<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/steve.pugh.net\/fleet\/ambassador.html\">Ambassador<\/a> class? I can hear the fanboys screaming&#8230;<\/p>\n<div class=\"gallery\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.stevepugh.net\/VTT\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/11\/kelvin.jpg\" alt=\"USS Kelvin\" width=\"460\" height=\"210\"  \/><\/div>\n<p>So this is the <i><b>USS Kelvin<\/b><\/i>, destroyed some time before the main timeframe of the movie. <b>NCC-0514<\/b>. Hmm, I want to see more. And, on the really pedantic level, how does this fit into the same registry scheme that includes the <a href=\"http:\/\/steve.pugh.net\/fleet\/oberth.html\"><b>NCC-638<\/b> <i><b>USS Grissom<\/b><\/i><\/a> form ST III?<\/p>\n<p>And has it really been four years since I updated my <a href=\"http:\/\/steve.pugh.net\/fleet\/\">Star Trek ships web site<\/a>?
