Vessels of Starfleet - Oberth class variants

Oberth class variants

Asmodeus class light corvette

[Side view of Asmodeus class] From Starfleet Dynamics.

A twin nacelled light combat vessel (6 phasers and four torpedo tubes). The registry of the lead ship is given in Starfleet Dynamics as NCC-200. A slightly modifed design appears in Starfleet Prototype.

A very similar design, the Jester class, appears in Jackill's Ships of the Fleet (Volume II); NCC-200 through to NCC-288 are proposed with at least the first 82 vessels built; the class entered service in 2268.

Starfleet Dynamics quite sensibly states that the limited power systems of the Oberth family precludes the mounting of Mega-Phasers. However, Jackill's Ships of the Fleet (Volume II) features the three nacelled Orka class gunboats, (2 phasers, two mega-phasers), NCC-100 through to NCC-184 are constructed, starting in 2268.

Fisher class light tug

100 vessels (NCC-900 to NCC-999) are proposed with at least the first 92 entering service from 2268 onwards.

Other tug types based on the Oberth hull are the Todega (NCC-S300-NCC-S381) from Jackill's Ships of the Fleet (Volume III) which features four nacelles and a large tractor pod; and the Schmidt (NCC-800) from Starfleet Prototype, also four nacelled although with a smaller tractor pod and dorsal impulse engine nacelle.

Clarke class diplomatic clipper

[Side view of Clarke class] From Starfleet Dynamics and Starfleet Prototype.

A small, fast vessel orginally built with three nacelles but later modified to have four. The class vessel had registry NCC-100.

Angueira class hospital ship

From Jackill's Ships of the Fleet (Volume II)

97 vessels (NCC-6100-NCC-6196) entering service from 2266.
